My friend Ani says she wants it to be her personal mission to spread the word that olive oil takes away cradle cap. So I thought I'd help her spread the word.

I have caught myself several times sharing a great tip to then have my husband ask, "Where did you hear that?" To which my response is often, "My good friend's blog". Thus came the birth of this blog. I plan to share lots of helpful ideas. I hope it is enjoyable and useful. (Oh, and most of my ideas will be from "my good friend's blog(s))".
From Ani: Here is the scoop for olive oil!
ReplyDeletePut some all over baby's scalp and rub it in. Don't be afraid to use a lot. Let it sit for like five minutes or so while baby is in bath...and then massage it, and use a comb and gently comb/massage baby's scalp. I also used a tooth brush and did the same thing. Then rinse! It should really loosen it up. Then repeat. I did it three times, and it was gone.
Recently I noticed my daughter's scalp was looking dry, so I lathered her up, and washed it and it was gone! Plus her hair was super shiny!
Ooh! Thank you! James had it and it was a huge pain. I could never really get rid of it. I'm planning on dealing with it for baby #2 too...so thank you!
ReplyDeleteI think I will try this. Abby has bad cradle cap. My friend said to just put lotion on her head. It kind of worked but it was kind of gross because I'd put her to bed with helmet hair and it would still look a little greasy the next day.
